Accessibility Statement (State of the declaration: 18.11.2020)
Der Professor*innen-Katalog of the TU Braunschweig is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Niedersächsisches Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz (NBGG) (Lower Saxony Disability Equality Act), transposing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
This Accessibility Statement applies for the webseite 134.169.20.203/cpb.
Status of compatibility with the requirements
Based on the review, the website is not compatible with the aforementioned requirements in all places. The website 134.169.20.203/cpb is not yet finally barrier-free for the following reasons:
Information included in the website in sign language and in easy language
We strive to use language that is as simple as possible. Due to the complex content that is published, at least in part, on our websites, simple language design (for example, dispensing with technical terms) is not always possible.
Documents embedded in the website (.pdf, .doc, etc.)
Documents that were posted before January 2021 may not be accessible, as the source formats are sometimes missing and subsequent editing of the documents is disproportionately labour-intensive. Documents provided by third parties may not be accessible (see § 9 Abs. 2 Satz 2 NBGG). In the case of newly published documents, we encourage our data suppliers to observe the accessibility requirements.
Videos embedded in the website
It has not yet been possible to provide the videos with an audio description. For new videos, we ask our data suppliers to observe the requirements for accessibility.
Alternative texts
Alternative texts are currently missing. They are continuously being added.
HTML structural elements
Some HTML structural elements are only partially accessible because the corresponding Bootstrap classes are missing. A revision is in progress.
Input fields for user data convey the purpose
Forms do not use autocomplete. Forms lack the "autocomplete" attributes, which makes it difficult to complete the forms. An adjustment is being planned.
Contrasts of texts sufficiently
As the basic layout of the website was created before Directive (EU) 2016/2102 was published, the contrast ratio of 4.5:1 is not fundamentally guaranteed. A solution is being worked on.
Current position of the focus clear
The focus is not always recognisable when operating with the keyboard. An adjustment is being planned.
Error detection
Information in forms is not automatically checked before submission. An adjustment is being planned.
The identified technical deficits and shortcomings are currently in a continuous improvement process that is being successively worked through.
Preparation of this Accessibility Statement
